The Senior Center in Sheridan hosted its traditional “New Year's Eve at Noon” celebration on Wednesday and it was a party and a half. Party hats and noisemakers, live music, dancing, food, fun, and fellowship, the dining room was packed with merrymakers.

A ceremony was held Wednesday at Sheridan City Hall to promote three Sheridan Police Officers. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the story.

The last day of 2014 marked the last day for Wyoming Highway Patrol Lieutenant Nate Hughes, as the lieutenant officially retired from the patrol Wednesday. A news release from the Highway Patrol states that Hughes joined the Patrol in 1990 and was initially stationed in Wamsutter as a patrolman.

DUBOIS, Wyo. (AP) - A fire has destroyed four historic buildings containing over a dozen businesses in downtown Dubois. No injuries are reported and Dubois Mayor Twila Blakeman says the damage still is being assessed.

This past year hasn't gone well for Sheridan's public arts program.

Sheridan resident Linda Robbins, who owns Annie Greenthumb's Flowers and Gifts in Sheridan, has spent the past week in California helping decorate several floats for Thursday's Rose Parade in Pasadena.

Two of the Sheridan Police Department's long-time officers are being promoted to help lead the department.
