The Soldier Creek Habitat Management Area re-opened to public access on Tuesday. Public Information Specialist for the Sheridan Region of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department Bud Stewart, said that the area was only closed since last Friday.
Applications will be accepted starting Thursday, for non commercially guided snowmobile trip permits into Yellowstone National Park. The permits are for the upcoming 2016-2017 season.
Polo, steer roping and bronc riding, along with the World Champion Blacksmiths Horseshoeing Contest, are on the agenda this weekend during Don King Days at the Big Horn Equestrian Center.

The Wyoming Wildlife Foundation will provide grants of up to $5,500 to support research, habitat protection, education and other similar projects for all species of bears through the 2016 Memorial Bear Fund.
