Sheridan Memorial Hospital will open a location downtown for several of its support services during the week of Sept. 19.

The Soldier Creek Habitat Management Area re-opened to public access on Tuesday. Public Information Specialist for the Sheridan Region of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department Bud Stewart, said that the area was only closed since last Friday.

Summer days are coming to an end as the Labor Day holiday, which many consider a symbol of that end, is on Monday.

Applications will be accepted starting Thursday, for non commercially guided snowmobile trip permits into Yellowstone National Park. The permits are for the upcoming 2016-2017 season.

Wyoming sage grouse count up for 3rd year in a row

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The number of greater sage grouse in Wyoming continues to grow, at least for now.

Polo, steer roping and bronc riding, along with the World Champion Blacksmiths Horseshoeing Contest, are on the agenda this weekend during Don King Days at the Big Horn Equestrian Center.

Sheridan County spends about $650,000 to $700,000 a year for dust suppressant.

The Wyoming Wildlife Foundation will provide grants of up to $5,500 to support research, habitat protection, education and other similar projects for all species of bears through the 2016 Memorial Bear Fund.

Buffalo's monthly Business Roundtables will begin again starting in September at the Sagewood Gifts and Cafe downtown.
