At Lake DeSmet just outside of Buffalo,WY, locals gathered for the annual Polar Bear Plunge to kick off the new year in an extreme way. Several hundred people were in attendance to watch or to make the plunge into a hole cut into the ice as a unique and bold way of ringing in the new year.
