Council Elects President, Vice President

The Sheridan City Council considered electing a new Council President and Vice President at their meeting Monday night. Sheridan Media’ Ron Richter has the details.


The Council, at their meeting on January 6, discussed electing a new Council President and Vice President. Monday night, the Council took action on the item and elected Rich Bridger as President, and Thayer Shafer as Vice President. Councilman Bridger offered this reaction following the meeting.

This will be Councilman Shafer’s second year in a row as Council Vice President.

The Council also received a quarterly financial report from City Treasurer Karen Burtis, who also provided an update on the latest sales and use tax numbers for the City. We’ll have more from the Council meeting for you in future stories.
