Idaho Man Sentenced for Multiple Drug Charges

An Idaho man was recently sentenced in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan for multiple drug charges. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.


Last year on July 20, 41-year-old Joshua Gibson of Pocatello, Idaho, was arrested in Sheridan and charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver- Methamphetamine, and Misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance- Marijuana.

A sentencing hearing for Gibson was recently held where District Court Judge John Fenn accepted the terms of the plea agreement reached with the State and sentenced Gibson to 4 to 6 years in prison for the felony charge, suspended in favor of a split-sentence of no more than six months in jail and three years of supervised probation, and four months in jail for the misdemeanor charge, which will run concurrent to the felony meth charge. Gibson was given credit for 174 days of time served. Judge Fenn also ordered Gibson to pay $1,010 in various court and attorney fees.
