A Look Back in Time: July 16 1919

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on July 16, 1919.


Dr. John Harlan Andress, former pastor of the Congregational church in Sheridan, told a large audience at the Chautauqua last night that the world would never be at peace without a League of Nations.

Everything is ready for the big picnic at the experimental farm tomorrow. Many Sheridan stores will close at noon.

Henry Slattery of the vicinity of Clearmont is temporarily employed in the office of County Assessor Morris.

Ensign N.H. Lorenzen, in charge of the local Salvation Army station, has it in mind to institute a campaign in the fall to raise funds for building a Salvation Army community house in Sheridan.
