School District 1 Trustees Elect Officers for Coming Year

Trustees of Sheridan County School District 1 have retained their current slate of officers for the coming year.

Action came during the trustees’ meeting Tuesday night. Retained in office are Gary Reynolds, chairman; Carol Garber, vice chair; Karen Walters, treasurer; and Penny Barkan, clerk.

In other action during the meeting, trustees re-appointed Sam Scott as School District 1’s representative on the Whitney Benefits board. District 1 Superintendent Pete Kilbride said Scott has been on the board since 1994.

Also Tuesday night, trustees accepted the audit for the district’s fiscal year 2019 and approved the salary schedule fo the virtual education coordinator.

Principals of the three schools in the Tongue River Valley – Tongue River Elementary, Tongue River Middle School and Tongue River High School – presented reports on programs in those schools.
