Sheridan County Votes to Vacate Easement

The Sheridan County Commission voted to vacate an unused easement on properties in Powder Horn Ranch – 2 Subdivision.

According to the Public Works Staff Report on the vacation application, the easement is a platted 10-foot wide utility/drainage/construction easement common to Lots 1 and 2, St. Andrews Row at Powder Horn Ranch.

County Planner Mark Reid explained that the easement is unused and the applicant wants to use the easement for construction on the two lots.

Reid said the Planning & Zoning Commission voted 4-0 to recommend approval for the vacation of the easement at their meeting January 9th.
