Funeral Services for Audry Elm, 69 year old Kaycee woman who passed away Monday afternoon at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper surrounded by her family, will be held Saturday January 4th at 2:00 p.m. from the Big Horn Baptist Church in Buffalo with Reverend Carole Buckingham officiating. Visitation will be held from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside services to follow the funeral. Donations in Audry’s memory may be made to the Harold Jarrard Park Foundation or the Boys and Girls Club of Kaycee in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo.
Audry Ann Elm was born on September 10, 1944 in Casper, Wyoming to Milton and Doris Moffett. They lived in, various towns in WY until the death of her father when she was 3. Her mother then married Art Haines and the family moved to the Haines Ranch in Barnum, Wyoming where she grew up and went to schools in Linch and Kaycee. She graduated from Kaycee High School in 1963. She then married Lyle Lund and started her family with the birth of their daughter Valerie (Streeter). After her divorce from Lyle she moved to Casper and worked as a secretary and met Gilbert Hauber. After they were married they worked various ranch jobs in the area and gave birth to their daughters Roxie (Furnival) and Torie (Hill). The family moved to Hulett and worked on the Hauber Ranch till they moved back to Kaycee. Jobs moved the family to Riverton where Audry obtained a license in cosmetology and worked as a beautician for a time until the family moved back to Kaycee. After her divorce from Gilbert, she worked at the Cassidy Inn Motel in Kaycee. She met Walter Elm in 1991 and after a few years she moved out to the Elm Ranch where she went to work hauling the mail on the Sussex route and driving the school bus. She enjoyed spending time helping Walter on the ranch and enjoying their outings searching for arrowheads. On January 1, 2013 they tied the knot in a very special ceremony in their home. Audry enjoyed golfing, rock hunting and spending time with her family. She enjoyed being called GG by all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Walter Elm, Daughters Valerie (John) Streeter, Roxie (Bobby) Furnival, Torie (Gus ) Hill. Grandchildren Sheena (Bryce) Brock, Haley (Geoff) Horton, Trey Furnival, Bindi, Addison, and Tane Hill. Great grandbabies Ava, and Grayden Brock and Jayss, Rhya Horton. Neice Marilyn (Scott) Long, Nephew Milton Moffett. Great Nephews Ryan (Tember) Long, Clay and Tal Moffett. She is also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Mother, Step-father, her Brother Bill Moffett and Sister-in-law Merlo Moffett, infant nephew Mathew Moffett as well as her Mother and Father- in-law Leonard and Scotty Elm.
