The Sheridan City Council met in a special session yesterday to consider a grant application by Forward Sheridan. The grant would be a $25,000 planning only grant from the Wyoming Business Council.

U.S. Senator Mike Enzi urged his colleagues on the Senate Finance Committee to take strong action – not wrong action – and avoid throwing billions of dollars in borrowed money at government programs that have little hope of reviving the U.S. economy. Enzi suggested alternatives that would provide immediate tax benefits for businesses and individuals.

The Sheridan Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees received their first glimpse of what an outpatient surgery center would look like on the hospital's west campus. Representatives from CTA Architects showed the Board preliminary schematics of the surgery center, and outlined projected costs of the endeavor.
