Sheridan Recreation District To Hold Halloween Carnival This Saturday

The Sheridan Recreation District will be hosting a Halloween Carnival this Saturday. Sheridan Recreation District Director Richard Wright says all kids ages 9 and under are welcome.

Senator Enzi Speaks Out On Health Care Bills

The topic of health-care reform is once again taking center stage in Washington D.C. Tuesday, U.S. Senator Mike Enzi expressed his disapproval on the floor of the Senate about the current health-care reform bill.

Enzi went on to highlight 10 provisions in the majority's health care bills that would drive up health care costs for American families.

Three Defendants Enter Pleas In Ernst Murder Case

Three Sheridan teens made their first appearance in 4th Judicial District Court on Tuesday. 19-year-old Dennis Poitra, Jr., 16-year-old Wyatt Bear Cloud, and 16-year-old Dharminder Vir Sen were arraigned before District Court Judge John Fenn. All three men are charged with 1st Degree Murder or Accessory to 1st Degree Murder in the August 26th shooting death of Sheridan resident Robert Ernst.

Sheridan resident Mary Moreland, 87, passed away Monday, October 26, 2009 at Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo, Wyoming.

Services will be held Saturday, 10 a.m. October 31, 2009 at Kane Funeral Home with Pastor John Meyer officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Big Horn Cemetery. Gathering for family and friends to follow at the Elks Lodge.

Kane Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

City Council To Consider Sewer Service Agreement With Trailer Park

The Sheridan City Council considered a request to extend sewer services over 3 quarters of a mile to service the Woodland Park Village Trailer Court at their last City Council meeting. They tabled the request at that time. Tonight, the Council will hold a special session to consider the request again.

Man Arrested For Firing Taser During Barfight

A Sheridan man was arrested Saturday night after an altercation at Willey’s Lounge. 54-year-old Timothy Schaeffer made his initial appearance in Sheridan County Circuit Court yesterday to face charges of aggravated assault and battery. Schaeffer is alleged to have been involved in an argument during a card game at the bar on Saturday.
