County Commissioners Approve Closing On Incubator Building

The Sheridan County Commissioners approved the closing of the business incubator building on East Ridge Road at their meeting Tuesday. Commissioner Bob Rolston.

Rolston says that the acquisition of the property didn't cost the County a dime.

Hospital Board Approves Capital Equipment Purchase

The Sheridan Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees approved the purchase of a CT scanner and MRI in the amount of $1 million. Hospital CEO Mike McCafferty explains that the equipment isn't necessarily new.

Jennifer Edwards Sentenced in District Court

32-year-old Sheridan resident Jennifer Edwards was sentenced Tuesday in 4th Judicial District Court. Edwards reached a plea agreement with the State in July, and plead guilty to one count of Felony Child Endangerment. District Court Judge John Fenn accepted the terms of the plea agreement and sentenced Edwards to 2 to 4 years in prison, suspended in lieu of 4 years of supervised probation.

Kennon Products Inc. Wins 20/20 Clear Vision Award

The Wyoming Workforce Development Council announced Tuesday that Kennon Products, Inc. of Sheridan is this year's recipient of the 20/20 Clear Vision Award for the Northeast Region. Kennon President Ron Kensey comments on winning the award.

BHNFS To Hold Open House on Draft Environmental Impact Statement

The Bighorn National Forest is proposing to continue livestock grazing on 43 allotments, covering nearly 386,000 acres, and conduct vegetation management through prescribed burning on approximately 15,000 acres.

Taste of Home a Huge Success

It was meatballs to mousse and every kind of delectable in between at Monday night’s Taste of Home Cooking School, held in the Early Auditorium of Sheridan’s Junior High.  The hallways were crowded shoulder to shoulder as cooking enthusiasts checked out the ten vendor booths offering tasty treats and helpful information.


Funeral services for Sharon Haskin, 66 year old Buffalo resident who passed away Monday at the Johnson County Health Care Center in Buffalo, will be held Friday, October 8th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Buffalo with Father Cliff Moore officiating. Private family interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery.
