Vincent Scott Trial: Day One

The trial for Sheridan resident Vincent Scott got underway Wednesday in 4th Judicial District Court. Scott is on trial for an incident that occurred on November 7th, 2009 in Sheridan, when he allegedly sexually assaulted and battered his ex-wife in her home, and threatened her and their son's life.

Vincent Scott Trial Moves Forward after Jury Selection and Opening Arguments

Jury selection for the trial of Sheridan resident Vincent Scott took place in 4th Judicial District Court Wednesday morning. Both Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Dianna Bennett and Defense Attorney Shelley Cundiff consistently asked the Jury Pool if they would have any trouble keeping an open mind toward the defendant due to the nature of the crimes for which he is on trial.

Helena Darleen Comfort

Helena Darleen Comfort, 67, of Sheridan, WY died Tuesday, October 05, 2010, in her Sheridan home.

Darleen was born April 2, 1943, in Lexington, MO to Lewis & Helena (Eaton) Lovick.

Dorothy F. Rohla

Dorothy F. Rohla, 81, of Sheridan passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the Westview Healthcare Center.

A Rosary for Dorothy will be held on Friday, October 8, 2010 from 7 - 8 pm at Kane Funeral Home. Funeral Mass for Dorothy will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Holy Name Catholic Church at 10:00 am with Father Jim Heizer officiating.

Caroline J. “Carrie” Schwartz

Caroline J. “Carrie” Schwartz, 67, of Sheridan, WY died Monday, October 4, 2010, in Billings Clinic, Billings, MT.

Carrie was born June 8, 1943, in Sheridan to Tobias Lee & Rose (Gonzales) Zamora.

Richard P. Schneck

Richard P. Schneck, Sr, 54, of Sheridan, WY, died Friday, October 1, 2010 in St. Vincent’s Health Care in Billings, Montana.

Mr. Schneck was born April 10, 1956 in Allentown, Pennsylvania to Elroy and Grace (Warren) Schneck. He grew up and attended schools in Allentown, Pennsylvania and Tecumseh, Kansas.

Jacob Anthony Burnett

Jacob Anthony Burnett went home to his Heavenly Father on Saturday evening, October 2, 2010 at Wyoming Medical Center, Casper, Wyoming. He was surrounded by the deep love of his wife, mother, sisters and family along with the prayers of so many other family members and friends. Jake was born in Tustin, California to Philip and Joyce (Kohoutek) Burnett.

A Look at Dow and Jefferson Street Improvements

Mayor DaveKinskey working with those interested in the proposed street improvement project on Dow and Jefferson Streets.

The second in a series of hands-on public workshops, hosted by the City of Sheridan, was held Tuesday night at the YMCA to look at potential street improvements in the Jefferson and Dow Street areas near the Y.  Problems already identified by the City are street widths, drainage, pathway connectivity, traffic speeds, and aging water and sewer lines.

Lydia Morrison Arraigned on Four Counts
