Wyoming Girls School Girls Hockey Team Faces-Off Thursday

The puck drops Thursday morning at 9:30 sharp as the Wyoming Girls School hockey team takes on the Sheridan Woman All-Stars in their 3rd annual face-off at Sheridan Ice, located at 475 East Brundage.

Joseph Owen Esterl, 78, of Sheridan, WY died February 23, 2010 in Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.

Mr. Esterl was born at home on Heath Avenue in the Bronx, New York City, on February 6, 1931, to Joseph & Mary (McConnell) Esterl, the youngest of three children.

Gary L. Plachek, 58, of Sheridan, Wyoming passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 in Sheridan, Wyoming at his residence.

Graveside Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 26, 2010 at the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery with a reception to follow at the Beaver Creek Saloon.

Pinnacle Gas Resources, Inc. Enters Into Agreement to be Acquired by Investor Group

Sheridan-based oil and gas company Pinnacle Gas Resources, Inc issued a media release this morning announcing that it has entered into a definitive agreement pursuant to which an investor group will acquire Pinnacle in an all-cash transaction for $0.34 per share of common stock, representing a premium of approximately 28% to Pinnacle's closing share price yesterday of $0.265.

Another Jail Fight Prompts Discussion with Sheriff

In Monday's Sheridan County Circuit Court proceedings, two current inmates at the Sheridan County Jail were brought before Magistrate Carol Doughty on Battery charges for a fight they got into at the jail. Sheridan Media's Mary Jo Johnson has more.

Representatives With OLC Meet With Stakeholders On Proposed Spray Park

The City of Sheridan and the Sheridan Recreation District recently hired OLC Aquatics out of Denver, Colorado to design a spray/splash park that would be located within Thorne-Rider Park. Representatives from OLC toured Thorne-Rider Tuesday, and met with City and Recreation District officials about site and design options that ranged anywhere from $200,000 to $400,000.

City Conducts Streetscape Walk-Through On North Main
