“Nuts And Bolts” Seminar Well Attended At Republican Convention

One of the highlights of day two at the Wyoming State Republican Party Convention was the “nuts and bolts” training seminar for prospective candidates and their staff. Wyoming Republican Chair Diana Vaughan says the seminar was well attended.

Wyoming will receive a $703,000 Medicaid fraud settlement from AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals for allegedly engaging in an off-label marketing campaign that improperly promoted its anti-psychotic drug, Seroquel.

We took advantage of Sheridan hosting the Wyoming State Republican Convention this weekend by inviting all four Republican gubernatorial candidates to be on Friday's Public Pulse program.

Sheridan Media News Director Ron Richter served as host of the program, posing questions to Rita Meyer, Colin Simpson, Matt Mead and Ron Micheli.

Eleanor Paul

Eleanor H. Paul, 89, from Sheridan, passed away at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan on Thursday, April 29, 2010.

Services for Eleanor will be held at Kane Funeral Home on Monday, May 3, 2010, at 2:00 pm with Father Ron Stolcis officiating. Visitation will be at Kane Funeral Home prior to service.

WYO Western Film Series

Classic westerns will be shown at the WYO Sunday evenings in May.

In the past, it wasn't a Saturday morning without a few cartoons and a wild and woolly western to start the day. Well, the WYO Theatre in Sheridan is putting a bit of a spin on that tradition, beginning Sunday evening, May 2nd. Executive Director Nick Johnson explains.

C&K Equipment Donates to Diesel Technology Program

Sheridan College Diesel Technology students Alex Varah (in cab) and Josh Pounds check out the skid steer donated to the Diesel Technology program by C&K Equipment.

In a media release from Sheridan College, we learn that C&K Equipment has donated a 2002 Bobcat 864 skid steer to the Diesel Technology Program. The compact, track loading skid steer will allow Sheridan College students to develop skills in hydraulics, electronics and heavy duty electrical systems.
