City of Sheridan Utilities Director Dan Miller

Wednesday's Sheridan City Council budget work session dealt with the water and sewer division of the Utilities Department. The proposed budget for water and sewer is $4.9 million, which is a 2% reduction from last year's budget.

City Utilities Director Dan Miller says that the City has seen a significant drop in revenue from plant investment fees over the last few years.

46-year-old Leah Benjamin was sentenced for 2nd Degree Murder this week.

46-year-old Leah Benjamin of Buffalo was sentenced to 20 to 30 years this week by 4th Judicial District Court Judge John Fenn. Benjamin was found guilty in late January for the 2nd Degree Murder of her estranged husband Donald Benjamin. The murder occurred during the early morning hours of May 3, 2009, when Leah lured Donald to her home under false pretenses and fatally shot him three times.
