Special Olympics Torch Makes Its Way Through Sheridan

The Special Olympics Torch made its way through Sheridan Monday morning as local law enforcement began their trek to Buffalo from the Sheridan County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Dave Hofmeier commented on the 2010 Special Olympics Torch Run just prior to being handed the torch.

Counterfeiters Arrested in Sheridan

Two people were arrested over the weekend for counterfeiting.

26-year-old Tonya J. Roberson of Kansas and 29-year-old Nathan Kelly Matthews of Texas were arrested early Saturday on counterfeiting charges.

Counterfeit US currency began showing up in Sheridan on May 8th, with at least four occurrences in the past week. Sheridan Police Detective Sgt. Tom Henry explains what happened next.
