Three hours into a four-hour meeting Wednesday night, the Sheridan County Planning Commission held a public hearing regarding a resolution of Sheridan County's intent to amend building standards pertaining to county-wide building code enforcement and electrical inspection as condition of procuring a permit.

Nancy Freudenthal has received Senate confirmation on Federal Judgeship nomination.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The U.S. Senate has confirmed Wyoming First Lady Nancy Freudenthal as a federal judge for the District of Wyoming.

Governor Dave Freudenthal submitted his wife's name to President Barack Obama last year, along with two other candidates, for a vacancy on the U.S. District Court in Cheyenne. Nancy Freudenthal will replace Judge Clarence Brimmer, who's retiring.

Despite the current snowstorm, numbers are still below average for snowpack.

This story is a bit ironic, given that we are looking at heavy wet snow falling in the region. That being said, however, the final snow pack report for the season just came out and shows we are still well below average for our area. Conservation Technician with the Sheridan County Conservation District, Jerry Forster, gives us the details.
