SARATOGA, Wyo. (AP) - Eminent domain, just compensation and defining collector systems are among the issues that were discussed during a wind energy conference in Saratoga. The conference was held Thursday and Friday by the Wyoming Task Force on Wind Energy.

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) - Motorists in Yellowstone will see more delays over the next few weeks because of road work. On the east side of the park, the contractor is gearing up to start work on a one mile section of the East Entrance road through Sylvan Pass.

Land Trust Raises Funds for Matching Grant

The Sheridan Community Land Trust has announced that they've raised $60,000 to meet the two to one matching requirement for a $30,000 grant they received from the Scott Foundation in 2008. Sheridan Community Land Trust Executive Director Colin Betzler says that the funding will help with several of the projects that they are working on.

Lois R. Namtvedt, 81, of Sheridan, WY, died July 6th, 2010, at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Namtvedt was born September 4, 1928 in Sheridan to Wade H. and Florence (Madden) Ratcliff.

SHERIDAN WYO RODEO - The 80th Sheridan Wyo Rodeo opens with concerts tonight and tomorrow at the fairgrounds.

A record number of contestants have entered this year's rodeo which will feature four night's of top PRCA action beginning Wednesday night at 7:00.

they will also have slack performances in the morning each day starting Tuesday at 7:00 am with a full day of steer roping.

Wyo rodeo board Vice-president Zane Garstad says it's a special time of year.
