The Volt - Not your Grandfather's Chevrolet

Posted in

You may have heard about the new GM car you can't hear and now Ed Hammer Inc. has two of them that are ready, willing and able to be looked at, test driven and not heard. I'm talking about the 2012 Chevrolet Volt - like this one sitting below the Ed Hammer Inc. sign which if my math is correct has arrived in time to help celebrate a dealership in business for nearly 75 years.

The 2012 Volt is headed your way - better look because you won't hear it
A view of the driver's compartment
Check out that dash and steering wheel controls
A close-up of the dash - perhaps a reading of the owner's manual is in order for those more familiar with analog dashboards
To the right of the dash is this 7 inch screen that when you put the vehicle into reverse gives you an almost high definition view of what's behind you in living color - that plus much more like some of the info currently on the display
Not your typical key ring -'cause there is no key
And how is this for fuel economy? 325-372 miles on 9.3 gallons - one tank exclusively on gasoline or 49 - 51 miles on one electrical charge
If Silver Ice Metallic is not you color how about Crystal Red Tintcoat like this one in the show room?
I took a smart phone photo of QR Code near the center bottom of this window sticker and here is where it takes you: www.fueleconomy.gov/m/m from there you can find out all about the "New Window Sticker" and the new fuel economy label
