Stricter UW Admission? District 2 Not Planning Curriculum Changes

Sheridan County School District 2 is not planning to make any changes to its curriculum in response to the University of Wyoming Board of Trustees approving new stricter admission standards.

Beware of McGruff the Crime Dog?

If you're headed home on Coffeen Avenue, near the entrance to the college beware of McGruff the Crime Dog as he sits and monitors traffic from his perch above the fence. Don't let his Santa cap and Christmas stocking fool you — he may just be waiting to give you a ticket for speeding or perhaps he's just spreading Christmas cheer to passersby.

In front of a beautiful Sheridan area backdrop "Resound," hosted by the First Interstate Bank, shared handbell music for the 16th Annual Sheridan Christmas Stroll just as it has done for over ten of its more than fifteen years of sharing with the community. Their musical selections include classic hymns and contemporary arrangements for the handbell choir.

Governor Mead Asks Full Court to Review Roadless Rule Decision

Wyoming Governor Matt Mead directed the state Monday to petition for a rehearing on the decision that upheld the Roadless Rule. Governor Mead would like the U.S. Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals to consider Wyoming’s arguments en banc.

Born in Laramie, WY on July 25, 1940, he was the youngest of four children born to Irma L. (Marsh) and Charles Wesley Benson.
