The survey stakes show where the new 10-foot wide pedestrian/bike path will be as Intermountain Construction and Materials of Gillette gets ready to start work at Vale Street (just West of the traffic signal light at Highland and Loucks) and proceed west for 1.22 miles. The pedestrian/bike lane will be on the north side of the highway between Vale Street and Sparrow Hawk Road.

Funeral services for Robert Scott, Sr., 62 year old Clearmont resident who passed away April 27th after a lengthy battle with cancer, will be held Saturday, July 2nd at the Clearmont Community Church. Donations in Mr. Scott’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the Adams Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo.

Tree falls in Kendrick Park

Sheridan Fire-Rescue responded to Kendrick Park Sunday afternoon after a large tree fell across the road. The high winds were blamed for toppling the tree.

Kendrick Park remained closed Sunday. Crews from the City’s Parks Department were expected to work on removing the remaining sections of the tree Monday.

Firefighter II/EMT Robert Dobbs begins to remove some of the smaller branches from a large tree that fell across the road in Kendrick Park Sunday. Dobbs is certified as a Sawyer with the National Wildfire Coordinating Group, (NWCG) and directed a portion of the tree removal process.

David Scott Ketcham, 49, of Rawlins, WY, passed away at his residence on Friday, May 13, 2011.

Funeral Services for Dave will be at 10:00 am on Friday, May 20, 2011, at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Ron Stolcis officiating. Internment will be in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. A reception will be at the Parish Hall following the service.

Bruce Edward Browne, 68, of Sheridan, passed away at his residence on Saturday, May 14, 2011.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Kane Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Johnson officiating with Military Honors. A reception will follow the service at 12:00 noon at the Big Horn Mountain Eagles #4169, 1760 Commercial Avenue, Sheridan.

BRONC SOCCER WINS REGIONAL TOURNAMENT TITLE

Zach Will scored the game winning goal in the Broncs 1-0 win over Laramie Saturday

BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc soccer team is the East regional tournament champion after beating Laramie in the regional title game Saturday 1-0. Bronc senior Zach Will scored the game winning goal in the 78th minute.

The Broncs will have a number one seed in the state tournament which begins Thursday at the Big Horn Equestrian center.

The Broncs will play Rock Springs in their first round match at 11:30 Thursday morning.

EAST REGIONAL TRACK AND FIELD - The East regional track meet went well as several Sheridan county athletes won events over the weekend at Homer Scott stadium.
