LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL - The Sheridan little league 9-10 year olds dropped their first game of the state tournament in Gillette yesterday losing to Riverton.

A day after beating powell in the opener they lost 5-0 last night to Riverton. That sets up a rematch of the last week's district title game when Sheridan beat Laramie last week for the district title they two square off today in an elimination game at 4:00.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers open up the state "AA" tournament in Cheyenne this afternoon the Troops open with Laramie at 12:30.

The City of Sheridan is temporarily closing a portion of Gould Street from Alger to Grinnell for work on City Hall. City Building Official Charlie Newcomer explains why the closure is taking place.
