4th of July at the Equestrian Center

Another community 4th of July celebration got off with a 'bang' Monday as thousands gathered at the Equestrian Center for one of the greatest fireworks displays in the area. The fireworks dovetailed with a musical simulcast on Sheridan's rock station Z94.

Commissioners Approve Large Rezone Northwest of Dayton

County Commissioners approved the Dayton Northwest Lands rezone Tuesday.

Part of the Sheridan County Comprehensive Plan that was adopted in 2008 called for a large rezone of land Northwest of the Town of Dayton.

Domestic Dispute Ends in Fatality

A media release from Detective Lt. Chris Dahmke at the Sheridan Police Department indicates that at approximately 7:55 p.m. on Monday, July 4th after responding to a domestic disturbance on the 100 block of west Nebraska Street, a 23-year-old male was shot by police after an altercation.

Fay P. Pabst, 86, of Sheridan, WY, died Thursday, June 30, 2011 in Westview Health Care Center.

Mrs. Pabst was born February 20 1925 in Bowring, Oklahoma to William David and Almary (Williamson) Freeman. She married Clarence Pabst April 7, 1945 in Wichita, Kansas.

Annual Karz Rod Run Sees Record 168 Participants

A record number of automobiles lined Main Street on Saturday for the annual Karz Rod Run. Karz Club of Sheridan member, Mark Wells, says that getting a large number of participants like the 168 cars they had enter this year depends on several factors.
