New Details Released on the 4th of July Shooting in Sheridan

New information has been released regarding the incident that happened this past Monday night in Sheridan that ended in a Sheridan Police Officer fatally shooting 23-year-old Jesse Salveson. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the details:

Just days after the groundbreaking crews from Excel Construction were busy at the corner of Wyoming Avenue and Burkitt Street, aka "malfunction junction," on Thursday morning.The asphalt was being removed in the 100 block of Wyoming Avenue as were several elder cedar trees in the immediate vicinity.

It was a fun day, there was food, free pop, chances to try out many different firearms and look thru some quality optics. The weather cooperated and it was sunny and warm for most of the day. They had an exhibition shotgun shooter from Benelli come in and he put on a great show for the crowd!

Jesse Priest Salveson, 23, of Sheridan died Monday, July 4. He was a graduate of Sheridan High School, where he was known as Jesse Brown. He was born July 27, 1987, in Cheyenne to Brian and Marlene Obermueller. After the Obermuellers divorced, Jesse was adopted by Marlene's second husband, Phil Brown.
