Director of Curriculum and Assessment for SCSD2 Tom Sachse, presented the Board of Trustees with the final PAWS results on Monday night, praising students and teachers across the district for the best PAWS results in the district's history of using the assessment.

UPDATED: Hoss Fire Burning in Southern Big Horn County Montana

The Hoss Fire in southern Montana has spread to almost 1,500 acres due to high winds that fanned the blaze late Sunday evening. The fire, which is located ten miles south of Fort Smith on the Crow Indian Reservation was ignited last Wednesday by a lightning strike.

Funeral services for Dixie Streeter, 69 year old Kaycee woman who passed away quietly Saturday at the Johnson County Health Care Center in Buffalo, will be held Friday, August 19th at 10:00 a.m. at the Harold Jarrard Park Building in Kaycee with Reverend Tom Saur officiating. Interment will be in the Kaycee Cemetery with graveside services to follow the funeral.

Bud was born on January 16, 1930 in Broadus, MT to Gladys (Huckins) and Clark Leroy "Doc" Geer.

The lightening-caused “Hoss Fire” has grown to 1,000 acres in southern Big Horn County, Montana, burning approximately five miles south of Fort Smith in the Big Horn Canyon National Recreation area in the Northern Rockies.
