Wing, 68, Dies in Story Fire

One man died in a house fire in Story over the weekend. First responders were alerted to the residential fire at about 10:30 Friday evening and extinguished the flames to find the fire had claimed a life. Sheriff's Deputy, Cpl.

On the last day of April this robin, perhaps a male, may be scouting out a May nest building site. Robins are one of our earliest birds to nest. The male arrives first and picks out an area an acre in size. When the females arrive and join their mates the final size of the mating area is reduced to about 1/3 of an acre.

Dayton and Sheridan Search and Rescue Execute Save at Tongue River Canyon

The Tongue River Canyon turned treacherous this weekend when two hikers were caught in inclement weather. The Dayton Search and Rescue successfully extracted a stranded hiker from the canyon Saturday. (Photo by Tracee Davis)

Sheridan County Emergency Services were called to the Tongue River Canyon this weekend when some hikers ran into trouble.
