Women's Self-Defense

Posted in

Recently there has been a lot of news about the 2nd Amendment and self-defense in the news. Six local women have taken this to heart and enrolled in the Women's Self-defense course at the Harbour Combat Club located in the old Moose Building at 331 Broadway in Sheridan.

Shown here is instructor Brady McLean being knocked to the ground by student Pam Klier. In this maneuver Pam hooks Brady's left leg, just above the heel, with the toe area of her right foot as she kicks his left knee with her left foot. Brady helplessly falls over backward allowing Pam to escape and run away.
Another view of the take down of Brady where Pam's right foot hooks Brady's ankle and her left foot strikes his knee
Here Pam uses her left knee as she strikes the well-padded David Harbour
In this photo the padded arm of Brady is about to receive a kick from Kristl Harbour
Here is Kristl's foot making contact - imagine if Brady had no pads and if the foot contained a shoe
Pam uses a similar maneuver in this left leg swing toward the head of David
During a break in the action it was no break for Kristl - her 4-year old daughter Nevaeh wanted in on the action
How about this upward left knee thrust from Kristl as she pulls Brady's head down making both his head and groin vulnerable
