Hundreds, maybe even a thousand, of scarey prowlers roamed the downtown Main Street of Buffalo on Halloween, in search of – candy.

The legendary showman, Buffalo Bill Cody, who's tied to Sheridan through the historic Sheridan Inn, first saw the town in 1876, when he came through with General Crook's army, and they camped at the confluence of the Big and Little Goose creeks.

Information specialist Warren Mischke, who's been with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department for nearly four decades, the past two spent in Sheridan, is retiring. A party to see him off has been planned for today, from 2-4, at the local office on Valley View Drive.

Mick Wiest remembers vividly the night he learned he was named Wyoming's 2014 Teacher of the Year.

Patriotic, religious, blues and rock music will all be heard next week at Big Horn High School when the band and choir present their fall concert.

An art show and sale called Parks and Pathways will open today in the SAGE Exhibit Gallery on Main Street in downtown Sheridan.
