Council Rejects Waste Facility Bid

The Sheridan City Council rejected a bid for improvements to the household hazardous waste facility at the landfill. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was at the meeting and has more.

Sheridan Holds Parent/Teacher Conferences

Parent teacher conferences will take place Thursday (Nov. 7) and Friday (Nov. 8) at Sheridan High School. Principal Dirleen Wheeler says that the conferences will begin Thursday evening and continue for half of the day Friday.

Author Canterbury Signs Books

Sheridan College instructor Dr. Jacqueline Canterbury will discuss and sign her newly released book, “Birds and Birding in Wyoming's Bighorn Mountains Region,” on Wednesday, (Nov. 6), from 11:30 to 1:30 in the academic center atrium.

Sheriff: Kidnapping Report False

A reported kidnapping originating in Montana and ending in Johnson County near Buffalo Monday turned out to be a false report, according to Johnson County Sheriff Steve Kozisek.

Judge Orders Montana to Re-Compute Coal Tax

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - A state judge has ordered Montana authorities to recalculate how much is owed by a Wyoming mining company that challenged its $3.4 million tax bill.

The boys down at the coffee shop were in a grumpy mood earlier on this day.  They had just endured their fourth heavy wet snowstorm. And it was just Oct. 28!
