Wyoming Governor Matt Mead announced that Wednesday is the day Wyoming will have mined 10 billion total tons of coal. In a media release, Governor Mead said this is a significant achievement, not just for the state but for the entire country.

On May 14, close to 700 female middle and high school students from across Wyoming will meet at the University of Wyoming for a program specifically designed to help female students realize that a career in science or engineering is a viable option.
The Sheridan Police Department Citizens Academy came to an end Tuesday night as the participants received their certificates for completing the program.
