Keeping it Safe During the Parade

The Sheridan WYO Rodeo Parade is one of the highlights of the festivities that will take place this morning in downtown Sheridan. Parade Chair Linda St. Clair says that safety is something that they stress during the event.

Funeral services for Rich Hensley, 66 year old former Gillette man who passed away early Wednesday morning at his home in Riverton, Wyoming, will be held Monday, July 15th at 10:00 a.m. from the Calvary Community Church at 631 N. Commercial Dr. in Gillette with Pastor Pete Friese officiating. Visitation will be held from the Harness Funeral Home in Buffalo from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

The Sheridan Police Department has announced that, once again, the Free Ride Home program will be in full swing in downtown Sheridan on Friday and Saturday nights. Vans will be stationed at the barricades on North Main and Alger Streets beginning at 9:30 p.m.

Jean M. Frey

Longtime Buffalo resident, Jean M. Frey, passed away peacefully, in the company of her family, on March 02, 2013 in Tucson, Arizona at the age of 90.

Born and raised on a ranch outside Rozet, Wyoming, Jean attended school in Rozet, along with her future husband, Louis A. Frey.

Jean and Lou married in Sheridan and settled in Buffalo in 1949, where they raised their family.

In January of 1945, Grand Rapids, Michigan became the first city in the world to increase the levels of fluoride in the municipal water supply. The City of Sheridan will be next, as the city council voted in 2011 to join in with many other cities across the United States and fluoridate. Sheridan Media's Chris Foy has the story.
