Re-Subdivision Clears County Commission

A property near Airport Road in Johnson County has been approved for a re-subdivision after the county commissioners voted to allow the changes.

Broncs / Lady Broncs open the Flaming Gorge classic today

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball team open play at the Flaming Gorge classic tournament in Green River today.

The Lady Broncs play star valley at 1:00 the Broncs follow that game against Vernal, Utah. We will have both games live for you on KWYO and 87.7 FM ESPN radio.

Broncs Head coach Gale Smith says the will three very good teams in Green River.

Toys for Tots Giveaway Approaches

The local Toys for Tots giveaway is set to take place this Saturday in Sheridan between 9 and 7 at Cloud Peak Initiatives, which is located at 151 West Brundage Street.

VISTA Volunteer Helps Senior Center Expand Services

Sheridan's Senior Center is working on expanding its services to more residents of Sheridan County with the aid of new VISTA volunteer Peter Clark. VISTA stands for Volunteers in Service to America and is a federal program, founded in 1965 to fight poverty.

State Education Director Discusses Department Goals

In late June of this past summer, Governor Matt Mead appointed Richard Crandall to run the Wyoming Department of Education. Crandall, an Arizona Senator, recently explained what landed him in the Cowboy State.

Graveside funeral services for Harry Filcaske, 89 year old Buffalo man who passed away December 15th at the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo, will be held in Willow Grove Cemetery in June of 2014 on a date to be announced. Donations in Mr. Filcaske’s memory may be made to the Buffalo Senior Center in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo.

State Legislators Gear up for Budget Session

In less than two months, Wyoming lawmakers will convene in Cheyenne for the budget session. State Representative Kathy Coleman said that she expects the Governor's proposed pay raises to be a contentious issue during the session.

Extension Finally Moves to New Office

After months of working out of boxes at the Sheridan County Courthouse, extension educator Scott Hininger and his staff are settling into their new offices in Sheridan College's Watt Regional Ag Center.
