A Ucross Kind of Christmas

The second annual community Christmas celebration was held in the Raymond Plank Creative Center at the park in Ucross. Christmas goodies, hot chocolate, music, crafts for the kids, the lighting of 24,000 lights covering the trees in the park all ending with a fireworks display.

“Celebration of Life”

A ceremony honoring those who have died and those who cared for them was hosted by Hospice of the Big Horns on Sunday afternoon. Ann Aksamit, manager of hospice, says the “Celebration of Life” expresses community.

Christmas Treats by the Pound

For all those who are running out of time to do all that Christmas baking, the 1st United Methodist Church had a room full of Christmas goodies galore. Thousands of cookies and candies were available for sale at $6 a pound, all to help with their building project.

Sheridan City Councilman Robert Webster has served on the council for two decades. Monday night will be Webster's last meeting and Sheridan Mayor John Heath says that the council will take time to recognize his accomplishments and service to the city.
