The Sheridan City Council prepared a special send-off for a long time City Councilman at their meeting Monday. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the story.

The Sheridan City Council approved a utility rate increase for water and sewer service for the coming year. The action came Monday night during the regularly scheduled City Council meeting.

UPDATE: As reported earlier, the Sheridan County Sheriff's Office is still investigating a shooting incident that happened Monday morning on Murphy Gulch Road.

More than a dozen Sheridan people have won from $25 to $250 in Chamber Bucks because they were “caught” wearing their Christmas Stroll buttons in recent weeks.

Ten years ago, hospitals didn't routinely hire doctors as members of the staff.

The local members of the Wyoming Highway Patrol Association have decided to donate their portion of a statewide fund-raising campaign to Sheridan Media's Christmas Wish Campaign.

The City of Sheridan has announced that a priority snow route alert will go into effect this evening at 10. The city is requesting that all cars and trailers be removed from the roadways tonight by 10, to allow city crews to plow and remove snow throughout the overnight.

Red Grade Road, a popular access road into the Big Horn Mountains, has now closed for the season to vehicle traffic.

Today is the deadline for standard mail packages to reach their destination by Christmas, according to the U.S. Postal Service.
