Fulmer Library Holds Open House

Saturday was a big day as the Sheridan County Fulmer Library held an Holiday Open House for the community. Local author Craig Johnson was there reading one of his short stories and immediately following was a discussion of the Fetterman Fight by local historian R. C. Wilson.

Toys for Tots Event Held Over Weekend

Christmas is a time of giving but when budgets are tight, sometimes it's hard for parents to buy presents for their kids. Toys for Tots, a Marine Corps Reserve community action program has been helping the less fortunate in Sheridan for the last 14 years.

Sheridan and the County Sales Tax Revenue Stats Available

Millions of dollars in sales tax revenue has been raised since July for the City of Sheridan and Sheridan County, according to data released by city and county officials.

Sheridan Safeway to Become a Ridley's Market

The Sheridan Safeway is going to be under new ownership soon, as the business has been sold to Ridley's Family Market, a company that owns 24 stores in Wyoming, Utah, Idaho and Nevada.

Omnibus Spending Bill Blocks Sage Grouse Protection

A rider attached to the $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill, which passed in the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate earlier in the month, will block the Fish and Wildlife Service from listing two types of sage grouse under the Endangered Species Act.
