This year's 36th Annual Sheridan Turkey Trot was a huge success with over 300 participants jogging, running or walking for this year's cause--the Defending the Fatherless Fund.

State Petitions to Participate in Coal Port Hearings

A news release issued by Governor Matt Mead's office Thursday states that Wyoming has filed a petition to participate as a party as a Party with the Oregon Office of Administrative Hearings for the Coyote Island Terminal coal port contested case.

Bond Reduction Denied for Alleged Batterer

Prior to a pre-trial conference in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan Thursday for 37-year-old Arapaho Oldman, a motion for a bond reduction filed by defense attorney Angela Long was denied by District Court Judge John Fenn. Oldman is charged with felony domestic battery.

Hill Praises Local School Districts

Cindy Hill says while some schools nationwide are having problems meeting federal No Child Left Behind requirements, Wyoming schools are doing well.
