Lake DeSmet Falls Under Ice Fishing Provision Rules

Twenty six of Wyoming waters have liberalized ice fishing regulations, according to the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, under the Special Winter Ice Fishing Provision. Among them is Lake DeSmet in Johnson County.

Durand Lee Porter

Lee Porter passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014, at Campbell County Hospital. Durand was born on November 22, 1954 in Windom, MN to parents William and Leora (Cullen) Porter. He proudly served in the Navy and was a veteran in the Vietnam War.

Jim Timar

Jimmy Timar, 77, of Sheridan, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at his residence.

Jim was born on March 1, 1937, in Buffalo, WY to parents Louis and Mary (Gibbs) Timar. He graduated from Johnson County High School in 1955 and served in the Air Force.

Jim married Billie Pilkington on June 12, 1959, but they later divorced. He then married Helen Mitchell until her death.
