The Sheridan City Council Monday night tabled the third reading of an ordinance that on its first two readings, was basically several minor changes to the boundaries of wards two and three.

The City of Sheridan will be heading into the upcoming budget season sans their top number cruncher, as Treasurer Jennifer Reed has announced her resignation. Reed, who's been the City's treasurer for 6 years, said that she intends to pursue other opportunities within the community.

Senator Continues to Seek Cemetery Funds

State Senator Bruce Burns

Bruce Burns, State Senator from District 21, but acting as a resident of the area, approached the Johnson County Commissioners at their last meeting, seeking funds to help purchase lands for a historic cemetery in northern Johnson County.

Johnson County Will Work Through Full Morning Agenda

Johnson County's Commissioners will have a full morning of subjects to work through during their meeting today.

They plan to adopt the 2007 Airport Master Plan to correct an oversight by the commission at that time that apparently did not officially do so.

Hospital Board Gets Latest Reports From Staff

The board of trustees of the Johnson County Healthcare Center got the latest reports from the department heads in the facility at their last meeting.

Joyce M. Armer, went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully on February 1, 2014. She was born in Paragould, AR on May 26, 1937, to Johnny and Velvie Lovelace. She moved to CA when she was eleven years old with her parents, brother and sister. She graduated from Gonzales High School in Gonzales, CA in 1956.
