Wyoming Lawmakers Wrestle With Superintendent Ruling

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - A panel of Wyoming lawmakers is drafting a bill that could lead to a special legislative session to deal with fallout from the state Supreme Court decision in the superintendent of public instruction case.

Casting a Spell on the Camels

The Sheridan High School Student section casts a spell on the Gillette Camels free throw shooting during the Friday double-header. The spell casting worked during the Lady Broncs game in which they defeated the Lady Camels 55 - 45 but the Broncs didn't fare as well dropping their game against the Camels 62 - 72.

BHS Speech/Debate Team Off to a Good Start

The Buffalo High School Speech and Debate team has been traveling for a few weeks and has had some great results. The team is a touch smaller this year than in the past, but that hasn’t stopped them from excelling in their performances.

The Antelope Butte Foundation is grassroots group who's been working for the past couple of years on reopening the ski area that's located in the Bighorn Mountains between Dayton and Greybull.

Damage Claims on Hold

Claims for damages filed against the county by two Sheridan County women are in the hands, now, of state insurance adjusters, after being denied earlier this week by county commissioners.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan high school basketball teams played Gillette Friday night.

The Lady Broncs broke open a tight game late and beat the Camels 55-45, Robbi Ryan scored 14 points in the victory.

The boys games was close into the 4th quarter but Gillette pulled away and beat the Broncs 72-62. Reed Ritterbusch led the Broncs with 24 points.

Both teams continue league play next week with games against Laramie and Cheyenne South.
