Water Board Receives 'Clean' Audit

An astronomer with the University of Wyoming has been selected to be part of a team that is planning for a science exploration project with the Thirty Meter Telescope.

School Board Approves Four-Day Week For Kaycee

After months of discussions, studies, surveys of parents, students, teachers and staff, the Johnson County School Board approved the calendar and schedule for Kaycee's K-12 school to move to a four-day week beginning with the 2014-15 school year.

Buffalo Mayor Signs Agreement For Wyoming Main Street

Jennifer Haskins and Mary McCorkle, with the Buffalo Downtown Association (BDA), spoke to the Buffalo City Council at their last meeting on their Mission and Vision Statement, gave some examples of what the BDA will be doing this year to improve the downtown corridor, and to have the Mayor sign the agreement with the Main Street Program.

Johnson County Signs Lease With State On Youth Camp

The Johnson County Youth Camp now has a new lease agreement between the county and state for the site located on state land just off of Hazelton Road in the Big Horn Mountains.

Nina Ruff Crandall , of West Chester, PA, formerly of Overland Park, KS died on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at her daughter's home in West Chester. She was 99. She was born in Snowball, AR on August 1, 1914 to Seth S. and Maggie (Hensley) Ruff. She grew up in Harrison, AR and in her youth was known as "Speedy Ruff' on the basketball court.

Snowstorm Knocks Out Power

An overnight storm, Monday to Tuesday, that dropped about a half a foot of snow in eight hours in parts of Sheridan County is to blame for the power outage that knocked out electricity to 6,300 customers of Montana-Dakota Utilities for up to three hours early yesterday morning.
