Buffalo Council Backs YMCA For Renovated Rec Center

The Buffalo City Council, at their Tuesday meeting, voted to draft and back a “Letter of Intent” between themselves and the YMCA to continue their partnership once the YMCA begins the process to replace the existing facility with an essentially new recreation center on the current YMCA site.

School Board Designing New Evaluation Model

The Johnson County School Board, at their last meeting, got a look at a plan for a new teacher evaluation model for the district from Assistant Superintendent Dr. Jeannie Iberlin.

County Zoning Regulations In Hands Of Commissioners

The Johnson County Planning and Zoning Commission forwarded copies of the proposed zoning regulations they have completed and sent a letter informing the county commissioners they have completed the regulations and completed all requirements involving public notices and public hearings in accordance with state law.

City Staff Working on General Fund Reserve Policy

A committee comprised of City of Sheridan staff have been busy working on a general fund reserve policy. A draft of that policy was presented to the City Council Monday night by Sheridan Police Chief Richard Adriaens.

People driving through the Big Horns on County Road 26, known as Red Grade, west of Sheridan, may soon see a speed-activated caution light on the road's most dangerous curve.

Patricia “Pat” Rodgers

Patricia “Pat” Rodgers of Veneta, OR, and Soldotna, AK, died in Eugene, OR, on March 10, 2014. Pat was born in Laramie, WY, on December 20, 1936 to William Brown and Victoria Tuma Brown. She lived in McFadden, WY, and moved with her family to Lance Creek, WY, during her youth. She attended Manville High School, where she was a cheerleader and played clarinet in the high school band.

George John Gosch

George John Gosch, 95, of Arizona, formerly of Sheridan, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014 in Flagstaff, AZ.

Services for George will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Kane Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
