In the years after World War II, Sheridan, Wyoming went from being “an Indian-hating town” in the words of Crow elder Joseph Medicine Crow, to being “the Indian capital of the world.” At least for a while.

We had so many record rains this past spring that I thought Wyoming could not get more beautiful that it looked in May and June. Everywhere we went we saw green, green, green.

Funeral services for Annette Felix, 61 year old Buffalo resident who passed away quietly at the Johnson County Health Care Center in Buffalo, will be held Friday, October 23rd at 10:00 a.m. from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tom Saur officiating. A private family interment will take place later.

Crews Respond to Structure Fire at Holiday Inn

UPDATE- Sheridan Fire-Rescue, along with Goose Valley Fire Department, Rocky Mountain Ambulance, and the Sheridan Police Department responded to a report of a structure fire Monday morning at the Sheridan Holiday Inn.

Larry Brownell

Private graveside services for Larry Brownell, 56 year old Littleton, Colorado man who passed away September 14th at the Parker Adventist Hospital in Parker Colorado, will be held by his family in Buffalo. Donations in Mr. Brownell’s memory may be made to the American Lung Association in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo.

Esther E. Cover

Esther E. Cover died October 17, 2015, at Sheridan Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
She was born in Emblem, Wyoming to Emil Werbelow and Elizabeth (Menzel) Werbelow on June 18, 1922.

She married Ward E. King of Greybull, and through that union had two children, Carole Lee King and Gary Ward King. They were later divorced.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Broncs beat Natrona county 49-14 Friday night to lock up the home field advantage throughout the upcoming playoffs.

The Broncs jump on the Mustangs early and led to wire after the victory Head coach Don Julian.

The Broncs have the #2 playoff seed wrapped up with one game to play and Julian says the hard work for the Broncs continues.
