National Honor Society Service Project

Members of the Sheridan High School National Honor Society recently completed their quarter service project. The 60-plus members created holiday “busy bags” for preschool students at the Child Development Center. Each bag contained fun activities for the children and useful items for their parents for this busy time of year.

Internationally-known recording artists Annie and Amy Smith sang-in the season at the Sheridan Inn for the PBS concert in Sheridan. Leslie Stratmoen has the story.

Tourism Director Says Air Service Meets Expectations

The restored commercial air service that’s been flying out of the Sheridan airport for about three weeks, now, is panning out as hoped, according to Sheridan Travel and Tourism Director Shawn Parker.

Community College, WYO Partner for Jazz Nights

The new director of bands for Sheridan College, Eric Richards, told community members during his presentation at the Sheridan County Chamber lunch that what attracted him to the community was the support of the arts, which included partnerships between organizations and managers of performance venues.

The Sheridan WYO Rodeo Board received confirmation this week that Sheridan will be one of 8 stops on the 2016 Elite Rodeo Athletes Premier Tour. The event in Sheridan will take place Saturday, September 3 at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds.

Bronc / Lady Bronc basketball opens season with victories / Cowboys lost at home / Rams / Eagles open hoops season today

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams opened their season in Riverton last night and both picked up nice road wins against Riverton.

The Lady Broncs blew out the Wolverines 55-15 Senior Robbi Ryan led the way with 21 points.

The Broncs beat the Wolverines 55-45 Senior Blake Godwin had 21 points in the victory.

They play Casper Kelly Walsh tonight game times are at 5:30 and 7:00 you can hear them live on KWYO and 87.7 FM.

They close out play tomorrow afternoon against Evanston games will be at 3:00 and 4:30 on KWYO.

Fair Board Eyes Web Site Re-design

The Sheridan County Fair Association web site needs a re-design.
