Powder River Rest Area Closed Until Further Notice

Ronda Holwell with WYDOT confirmed the Powder River Rest Area located between Gillette and Buffalo at milepost 88 on I-90 is closed until further notice. A water pump went out and won't be repaired until Monday.

The Sheridan Safeway, located on Coffeen Avenue, will officially be a Ridley's Family Market Tuesday at midnight as crews will work overnight tonight to make the transition.

U.S. Senator John Barrasso, a Republican from Wyoming, issued a statement on Thursday regarding the Federal Communications Commission’s vote to overturn state laws and grant government regulation of private broadband networks-- referred to as “net neutrality.”

An attempt in the Wyoming Senate to override a veto on a civil asset forfeiture bill failed Friday morning.

Moose License Deadline Extended

UPDATE:Bud Stewart of the state Game and Fish regional office in Sheridan says the application deadline is Monday for not only moose, but for bighorn sheep, mountain goat and wild bison, for both resident and nonresident hunters.
