Highway Patrol Investigating Fatal Crash South of Gillette

The Wyoming Highway Patrol, at the request of the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office, is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Monday night around 9:30 on Fairview Road, five miles southeast of Gillette.

Republican U.S. Senator Mike Enzi of Wyoming issued a statement Monday, regarding the day’s Supreme Court decision requiring the EPA to consider the costs of the regulations it imposes on power plants.

Appropriations Committee Discusses Revenue Shortfall

The Appropriations Committee of the Wyoming Legislature met for two days last week in Cheyenne. State Senator Bruce Burns of Sheridan is a member of the committee, and says that declining revenues was a topic of concern.

Fireworks Extravaganza at Equestrian Center

The Big Horn Equestrian Center will once again be the site for the annual fireworks extravaganza Saturday night. Gates will open at 4 and music by Dave Munsick will begin at 7:30. Fireworks Sponsor Bruce Burns says that it’s a good idea to get there early.

Farmers Market Begins a Week From Thursday

The Sheridan Farmers Market is set to begin Thursday, July 9 on Grinnell Plaza in downtown Sheridan. The market will run each Thursday from 5 to 7 through September 24. Market Manager Bonnie Gregory says that she expects big things for this year’s market.

Troopers have five on the road- play at home Monday / Elite hoop camp underway at SC / Rockies fall at Oakland / WYO rodeo week kicks off Monday

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers head to Cheyenne for a 4th of July weekend tournament. They begin play Thursday afternoon with the host team Post 6, they play a team from Lubbock, Texas Friday.

Saturday they play two teams from Colorado and close out the tournament with two games Sunday.

Head coach Ben Phillips says the troops are playing consistent baseball right now.
