There is so much more to see than just Devils Tower.

I am writing about the “Wyoming Black Hills,” which although lesser known than their South Dakota big brothers, still offer some wonderful visiting opportunities.

Yes, Devils Tower is the center of everything.  This towering monolith was our nation’s first national monument back in 1906 and it is a totally impressive place.

The Wild West Wreckers roller derby team from Sheridan made their home debut Saturday night in the old gym at Sheridan Junior High School. The Wreckers skated to an easy win, defeating the Rapid City Revolution 262-99.

Sheridan Jets Baseball Team are “B” State Champions

Helen Z. Plott, 94, of Sheridan, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 3, 1921 in Sheridan, WY to Antone and Frances Zahradnicek. Helen attended both Sheridan and Buffalo schools. She graduated from Sheridan High School in 1938.

Jets win state baseball / Troopers host AA state , starts tomorrow

SHERIDAN JETS - The Sheridan Jets beat Cody 8-5 to win the 'B" American Legion state baseball tournament for the second time in three years, Connor Jorgenson was named the tournament MVP, here's Head coach Ryan Murner.

TROOPERS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers host the American legion double "AA" state tournament play begins tomorrow with four games Jackson plays Laramie at 10 o'clock, Cheyenne plays Rock Springs at 1:00, Gillette plays Cody at 4:00 and the Troopers play Casper at 7:00. We will have the Trooper game live for you on 14-10 KWYO.

Airport Manager Reports 'Positive' Meeting with TSA

Sheridan County Airport Manager John Stopka said he had a “very positive meeting” last week with representatives of the federal Transportation Security Administration, and he's feeling good about reinstating security at the facility.

The day began with a pancake breakfast, followed by the one mile run which kicked off the parade, a duck race and then to Scott Bicentennial Park for an afternoon of food, fun, friends, and plenty of music.
