Mass of Christian burial for Doris Anderson, 83 year old long time Midwest and former Buffalo resident who passed away Tuesday in Chandler, Arizona, will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 14 at 10:00 a.m. from The Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Buffalo with Father Pete Johnson as Celebrant. A vigil service will be held and the Rosary recited on Monday at 6:00 p.m. also from the Church.

Mass of Christian Burial for Michael Lanker, 69 year old Buffalo resident who passed away suddenly at his home south of Buffalo Wednesday afternoon, will be celebrated Thursday, July 9th at 10:00 a.m. at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Buffalo with Father Pete Johnson as celebrant. A Vigil service will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. also from the Catholic Church.

Funeral Services for Lynn Gilbert, 60 year old Buffalo resident who passed away quietly at the Johnson County Health Care Center on Wednesday evening, will be held Thursday, July 9th at 2:00 p.m. from the Big Horn Baptist Church in Buffalo with Pastors Clay Alexander and Eric Ebbinghaus officiating. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside service to follow the funeral.

As Yellowstone National Park enters the busiest month of the year, visitors are reminded that they are responsible for their safety, which includes viewing wildlife from a distance of at least 25 yards.

Troopers drop opener in Cheyenne / Rockies fall at D-Backs / 2015 WYO Rodeo week opens Monday

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers dropped their opening game at a tournament in Cheyenne Thursday dropping and 8-2 decision to Cheyenne Post 6.

Play continues this afternoon with a game against a team from Lubbock , Texas, Head coach Ben Phillips' mantra all season long has been getting quality starts on the mound.

Tomorrow they will play two games with teams from Denver and will close out the weekend with one game Sunday.

The Troops play at home Monday when they host a double header with Cody the first game will start at 5:00.

Forty Years of Fireworks

This family business has been in operation for the past 40 years and continues to explode. Whiz Bang Fireworks, found on the north side of town, near Kmart continues to do a booming business and Mariah Geertz says the entire family pitches in.
