Crews Fight Two Fires at Soldier Creek

UPDATE, 10:20 p.m. - Crews from five fire departments battled two grass fires at Soldier Creek Tuesday afternoon.

Commissioners Approve Airport Agreements

Sheridan County commissioners have approved a lease agreement between the Sheridan County Airport and Key Lime Air, parent company of Denver Air Connection, which is scheduled to start commercial air service on Nov. 19.

Butler Returns as WYO Theater Director

As the community comes together Wednesday for an open house pizza party at the WYO Theater in downtown Sheridan, they’ll be welcoming back a former assistant director as their new director.

Bear Spotted on South Side of Sheridan

UPDATE: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1-- from the Sheridan Police Department. The walking path south of Brundage Lane will be opened immediately. Game and Fish chased the bear to the east side of the interstate.

UPDATE, 6 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 1 : A black bear seen on the south side of Sheridan has closed a portion of the city’s walking path system, and prompted a warning from the local police department.

School Starts in District 2

Classes starts today at Story Elementary School in Story and all schools in Sheridan.
