Funeral services for Jerry Kaufmann, 77 year old Buffalo man who passed away Friday morning at his home north of Buffalo, will be held Friday September 25th at 2:00 p.m. from the Big Horn Baptist Church in Buffalo with Father Doug Wasinger officiating. A private family interment will be held in Willow Grove Cemetery.

An annual sale of horses linked to an award winning quarter horse sire was held over the weekend in Sheridan. Reporter Pat Blair has the story.

The Sheridan College rodeo team competed in Chadron, NE this past weekend.

The women’s team placed fourth with 190 points. Callie Robinson made it back to the short round in the breakaway roping and the barrel racing with a fast time in the breakaway of 2.5 seconds splitting 4th and 5th. In the short round on Sunday Callie roped her calf in 4.0 seconds to earn a 3rd place finish and that put her 2nd in the average for a total of 115 points.

In the barrel racing Callie made it back in the 8th and 9th hole with a time of 17.05 seconds, but she hit a barrel in the short round.

John Joseph Culhane

John Joseph Culhane, 83, passed away at the Veterans Hospital in Sheridan, WY, after a short battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was born February 21, 1932, in Lebanon, PA, to Thomas and Florence Trumbore Culhane.

Accused County Office Arsonist Seeks to Suppress Statements

A Sheridan man facing felony charges in connection with the arson that damaged the Sheridan County Attorney's Office in downtown Sheridan last summer is asking a judge to suppress statements he made to a jailhouse informant.

Authorities are encouraging those with cabins or campers in the Big Horn Mountains to protect valuables because a rash of break-ins has been reported over the past several weeks.

City Administrator Ordinance and Woodland Creek PUD Up for Second Reading

The Sheridan City Council tonight will consider an ordinance on second reading regarding the Woodland Creek Planned Unit Development Master Plan, a request to rezone 14.2 acres as a PUD, located southwest of Woodland Park Road and Highway 87.
